To send money via a bank to bank wire transfer you will need to provide you New Zealand bank account number. This number already includes an ID for the bank, the branch, the customer and the account number. Together with the SWIFT Code it enables you to receive money from oversee. The Swift code can be obtained from you local bank branch.

Western Union is another fast way to transfer money. Depending on the amount you are sending it would cost you $5.00 to $10.00.
